Vision:
When Michael Poole wanted a fresh design for their new offices, Cocoon & Bauer’s brief was simple; to produce a design which was different to any other estate agency in the region. Our thoughts immediately turned to the customer experience and the first impressions of the public when they entered the building. We decided on an informal, relaxed, and welcoming space which emphasised the beautiful, existing architecture of the building yet created a more welcoming, informal, and homely office area where clients would feel comfortable and at ease.
Delivery:
With any interior scheme the correct specification of furniture can really make the scheme. In this case, the furniture needed to reflect quality with an informal and homely design. Rather than the traditional waiting area seating of other agencies, high and low back lounge chairs as well as a large, fuller sofa were utilised. Tub chairs to the workstations soften the formality of the desk and create a more comfortable looking aesthetic. The dividing shelves have a function to separate the space and allow for any documents to be housed, but their domesticated looks add to the design and tied in with the sideboard at the front contrast nicely with the back display units.
